Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Reel, a macOS application sold by Daniel Sogbey, a sole trader ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, purchasing, or using Reel you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Reel turns one raw screen recording into a full set of launch-ready App Store ad videos. A free tier is available with watermarked exports. Paid tiers (Solo, Studio, and Portfolio) are recurring subscriptions, priced per app you're running, that unlock additional monthly video volume and features as described on our pricing page.

2. Licence

On subscribing you receive a personal, non-transferable licence key to activate Reel. The key is tied to your subscription and must not be shared, resold, or published. We may suspend keys that are abused or shared.

3. Payment, billing & Merchant of Record

Orders and payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles the transaction, billing, receipts, and the calculation and remittance of any applicable VAT or sales tax. Your contract of sale for the purchase is with Lemon Squeezy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or your licence key;
• use Reel to create unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
• circumvent usage limits or attempt to disrupt our services.

5. AI features & usage limits

Studio and Portfolio include localized re-renders, which are metered per billing period. Hook generation and camera direction rely on a third-party AI provider processing your App Store review text and footage event metadata (never raw video); output is provided "as is" and you are responsible for reviewing it before use.

6. Privacy

Footage import, analysis, and rendering happen on your Mac. We do not upload your raw footage or exports. See our Privacy Policy for what limited data we do process.

7. Warranty & liability

Reel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes & termination

We may update these terms or the service; material changes will be posted here. You may stop using Reel and cancel at any time. We may suspend access for breach of these terms.
